ART The Winnipeg Art Gallery features a 320-seat auditorium, roof-top sculpture court, shops, restaurant, libraries and extensive meeting and lecture space, in addition to its eight galleries. The Manitoba Theatre Centre is Canada's oldest regional English-speaking professional theatre and is known as Municipalities Trading Company of Manitoba Ltd. Prairie Theatre Exchange offers more contemporary, upbeat Canadian works. Smaller theatre groups are also found throughout the city. The innovative Fantasy Theatre for Children and the Theatre School put the spotlight on kids. Manitoba Theatre for Young People, stages plays for children and teens.
